In the event you are faced with a circumstance in which your employee badge does not work in the time clock, what should you do?
- First, notify your supervisor if your badge is not working.
- Try to remember if the time clock beeped or stated “go to your assigned clock”. This will help us identify the problem.
- Report to Central Security, which is located on the first floor of Building 1 by the elevators.
- A Security Officer will inspect the badge and perform a troubleshooting test to try to determine what the issue might be.
- If necessary, the Security Officer will issue you a new badge.
Please note that new badge records require a download process to the time clocks each night around midnight.
What do I do if my new badge still does not work in the time clock?
1. Notify your supervisor if your badge is not working.
2. Report to Central Security for further troubleshooting.
3. Security will re-issue a badge or tell you what next steps need to be taken.
What do I do if my badge does not work in the turnstiles?
- Report to the Security Officer located in the gate house.
- The Security Officer will work with you to resolve the issue.
- The Security Officer will sign-in the employee if necessary and will contact your Supervisor’s desk phone to report your time.
- The employee should check in with his/her supervisor.
At anytime, if the issue has not been resolved within 24 hours, please contact Michelle Thomas at ext. 6706 or Harry Couch at ext.6904.
